Early February, we announced that the IFLE Program collaborated with the Institut Français to open a new virtual space on IF Profs that is dedicated to the English-speaking Caribbean.
Three teachers from Guyana, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, along with the two project managers for IFLE Education, have now finished their 5-week online training to become administrators of the virtual space.
Yesterday, the group presented a multi-country project for the platform to officials of the Institut Français, in preparation for the launch. It was the opportunity to discuss the main objectives, the needs of the target audience, the provisional content and schedule.
The official launch of the virtual space is carded for June, in celebration of La Fete de la Musique, and a pre-launch webinar to present the platform to the members will be hosted in May.
However, teachers from the English-speaking Caribbean can already register to access the available resources and interact with other members at https://lc.ifprofs.org/.
