An opportunity for students to access higher education in France

The program aims to provide students with an alternative in higher education and to promote regional mobility by reinforcing their level of French.

To that end, we propose to:

  • Increase the competencies of secondary school French teachers, with the support of the Alliances Françaises network in the English-speaking CARICOM. In fact, teachers are key actors in the success and sustainability of this programme;
  • Support students who wish to pursue their studies (including vocational training) in the French system, with the assistance of institutions such as the CIEP (Centre International d’Études Pédagogiques), Campus France, the universities of the West Indies and French Guiana, French Boards of Education, etc.

This will result in:

  • A detailed cartography of French teaching in the English-speaking Caribbean, including the number of schools, learners, teachers and teachers’ associations present in the region.
  • The offering of face-to-face and e-learning training modules for French teachers via the Tree Learning platform.
