A week ago, French teachers were celebrated around the world on the occasion of International French Teacher’s Day, also known as Le Jour du Prof de Français.
On November 26th, the network of Alliances Françaises in the English-speaking Caribbean hosted a series of online and in person activities (where allowed by local sanitary protocols), including presentations, workshops, games, and even musical performances.
Just as the first edition of Le Jour du Prof, this year’s celebration was also regional. Despite not being able to meet in person, teachers from the region could attend any and all of the virtual activities offered by the different Alliances.
This was not only an opportunity for the teachers to reconnect, welcome newcomers and network but also to share experiences and best practices, which has become even more crucial in the face of a pandemic.
The event was also a true convivial moment, with a lot of fun and laughter, as seen on this video of a karaoke session in St Vincent & the Grenadines.
No doubt now that International French Teacher’s Day 2020 was a true success!
