Starting today, the 50 Caribbean artists selected to join the IFLE Program for the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) will have the opportunity to partake in a free online French training.
Specifically designed by the IFLE Education team, this training will last 6 weeks and focus on skills that are relevant to the cultural and creative industry, such as introducing oneself, presenting one’s work and networking.

Upon the completion of the training, the artists will receive a certificate of achievement. In addition, the IFLE Program will provide scholarships for those who will have successfully completed the training and would be interested in preparing and siting for the DELF (Diploma in French Language Studies).
It is expected that this training will enable participating artists to not only acquire new linguistic skills but also allow them access opportunities in French Caribbean territories, France and other francophone territories, thanks to plurilingualism.
The online technical workshops, for the different artistic fields, will also begin shortly. First up, the “Art of storytelling for film-making” on May 13th. Stay tuned!!
