Following the call for artists and the launch of the IFLE VAPA Program late 2019, the first round of selection has officially been completed by our two juries.
The first jury was composed of identified artistic mentors and national focal points (representatives of the ministries of culture) of each country involved the IFLE Program. The second jury gathered the members of the IFLE management team, the directors of the Alliances Françaises of the English-speaking Caribbean and industry partners.
Over the course of a month, the juries reviewed the applications of 108 candidates from 11 countries and in 12 distinct artistic fields, including dance, film making and poetry.
The results from the two juries will now be aggregated to identify the successful applicants. The latter will not only receive linguistic and technical support from professionals of the creative and cultural industry but will also access opportunities to get exposure, through a participation to a wide range of cultural events, such as concerts, festivals and exhibitions.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the selected candidates in the next couple of weeks!
