The IFLE team meets with representatives of the Ministry of Education of Guyana

The goal of this meeting was to present the IFLE Program to the Ministry of Education, represented by the acting Permanent Secretary Mr Alfred King, the Chief Education Officer Mr Marcel Hutson, and the Director of Curriculum, Mrs Jennifer Cumberbatch.

The IFLE team explained the various types of training offered to French teachers as well as the additional support they will receive to prepare their students for the DELF exam in July 2020.

The Ministry of Education acknowledged the potential of the project and the opportunities it could give to the students, especially considering the proximity of French Guiana. The Ministry agreed to be part of the program and start involving pilot schools as soon as possible.

We do hope this meeting will lead to a fruitful collaboration between the IFLE Program and the Ministry of Education of Guyana.
